Lost Claim offers a great camping experience with spacious and clean sites that feel secluded, enhanced by beautiful views and ample tree cover. The campground is well-maintained, with friendly management and convenient access to nearby attractions like Yosemite and local grocery stores. While there are minor drawbacks, such as limited restroom supplies and some noise from wildlife, the overall ambiance and natural beauty make it a desirable destination.

We got at the campground around 6ish, there was no one at the campground for check in, I didn't have idea which spot to take, the ground was soft but very inclined, the bathrooms were pretty clean, no sinks. Next day there was a lady checking that we had a reservation, we took the wrong spot( we didn't know because there was no one to ask to). I showed her my reservation and everything was good. Youre not allow to use the Fireplace. No showers.

Great for us but perhaps not for most. Essentially every spot is visible but it has a very natural feel to it. Perhaps the cleanest bathrooms I've ever seen at a campsite but then again it is a very small place. If, like us, your options are few, take it. Dirt roads.

Campsites were well spaced out. My campsite was on the very edge of the burn so there was plenty of bird activity at dawn and dusk. The pit toilets were very clean.

We loved it here! Stayed 6 nights. Spots and bathrooms are clean and a very large bear box. Spots were large and had privacy. Short drive to Yos and gas/grocery. The hosts were a hoot, friendly informative and helpful. I was hoping to hear the cows many of the reviews talked about but didn’t see/hear any. There is some construction going on but we were gone by 9am each morning and didn’t hear any noise. Saw some wildlife mostly dear, fox, lots of cool birds, and bats. I’m not a big spider person and our site had a ton of wolf spiders but they stay still in the edge circling the campsite. You can see their eyes sparking at night which was actually pretty cool if you shine your lights in them. I recommend cooking before 8am for breakfast because the bees were relentless after that. We can’t wait to come back someday! Driving in/out there are some potholes in the dirt road but if you take it easy I’d say most cars could get in/out just fine. No locks on the bear box to keep people out but we didn’t have any problems.

The only good things noted about this camp ground was that the people were respectful, and it was so close to Yosemite. Besides that, my crew and I were not satisfied with the campsite. One of the bigger reasoning to why that is is because there was absolutely no camp host. When we needed help with something, had a question, or something was going on, we were left in the dust because there was no camp host
