What Guests Are Saying
Lost Claim offers a great camping experience with spacious and clean sites that feel secluded, enhanced by beautiful views and ample tree cover. The campground is well-maintained, with friendly management and convenient access to nearby attractions like Yosemite and local grocery stores. While there are minor drawbacks, such as limited restroom supplies and some noise from wildlife, the overall ambiance and natural beauty make it a desirable destination.

The only good things noted about this camp ground was that the people were respectful, and it was so close to Yosemite. Besides that, my crew and I were not satisfied with the campsite. One of the bigger reasoning to why that is is because there was absolutely no camp host. When we needed help with something, had a question, or something was going on, we were left in the dust because there was no camp host

This is a beautiful campground, the sites are so far apart that you can’t see your neighbor. The sides are so big, probably the biggest I’ve ever seen. It is extremely close to Yosemite. The one thing that I would want to caution about is that the roads are dirt roads and some of them are steep. The camp sites are also dirt. So for me, who was in a 15 passenger van, I had a hard time backing into the site. I was also really worried about if I was going to be able to get out of the campsite. I wouldn’t book this again in a rental car, especially not a 15 passenger van. If I was in my own SUV which four-wheel-drive I would be thrilled to be here. I talked to somebody else who said they just had a little Mazda or something and they had no trouble there. I would say bigger rigs could have trouble.

Overall a good campground. Pretty quiet. Clean restrooms. In hot weather not that great if you have a site without or with little shade. Our campsite did not have good flat ground. Some poison oak.

Quaint and quiet for the most part. Construction on the mountain above that was noisy in the mornings. Our site (007) was awkward to place our tent with where the fire pit and bear box was. No flat ground for the tent.
