What Guests Are Saying
Fairview Campground offers a stunning location with spacious and clean campsites, many right next to the river, perfect for family activities like fishing and tubing. The camp amenities, including clean bathrooms and friendly hosts, enhance the overall experience. However, some visitors reported issues with wasps and minor inconveniences with campground management, but these did not significantly detract from the enjoyment for most guests.

The campground was clean and quite and the hosts were pleasant. The campsites and road need a bit of work but I always enjoy Fairview campground.

Camp hosts very nice and helpful! Beautiful spot especially if you’re on the water. Someone took our original spot but we were moved to site 15. Would come back!

Pleasant enough place, but in many of the campsites there’s a serious lack of shade.

Beautiful campground and friendly hosts. Knocking a star off because the hosts were watching a movie outside with verrrrry loud speakers at night which really took away from the camping experience and we would have chosen another camp ground if we had known.

Clean and convenient campground. Camp host was friendly. Walking distance to McNallys for a great lunch or dinner.

Pros:
- great camp host, helpful and informative. Regularly checks facilities for restocking.
- great night sky view on all sites. Some light spill on the nearby McNally’s but all good nonetheless.
- sites were fairly large and flat. You can set your tent pretty much anywhere you need.
- accessible Kern River at any point in the campground. Some sites are prime and next to the river.
Cons:
- definitely variable, but had loud neighbors and quiet hours weren’t enforced. Nearby sites were still on pumped out music until 2300.
- our site had lingering wasps and preparing food was a hassle.

Bathrooms were consisently out of toilet paper. Several of the bathrooms had broken locks.

Trash on the ground, the restrooms stinking to our campsite, not much of a shade. The good thing was a bistro and a store in a very close proximity of the campground. And the river.
