What Guests Are Saying
Deer Creek Campground offers a beautiful setting with clean facilities, friendly camp hosts, and great access to the lake, making it a popular choice for camping and outdoor activities. Many visitors appreciate the well-maintained campsites and ease of reserving spots online. However, some concerns were raised about limited restroom availability, occasional cleanliness issues, and the need for more campground options, particularly during busy seasons. Overall, it remains a cherished destination for many campers.

We stayed in space 8. Plenty of room for our 32’ MH. View of the lake and a short walk away. They had just cleared some trees. Unfortunately that caused them to cancel 5 nights of our 7 night stay, but it was still worth the trip. We will be back!

Great location, though it was a long drive from San Diego to get there. site The air was clean and the lake which we could see from our site was beautiful. There are some sites right on the water edge. Sites were good size with space between you and the next site. Finally a spot in California where we could camp and swim

We returned to Deer Creek after being at Rancheria Campground the last several years. Prior to Rancheria we had been at Deer Creek for many years as our preferred campground but were forced to change the year Deer Creek was closed . It felt good to be back but were disappointed that so many trees had been removed.

Unfortunately, the clearing of dead trees was underway and the lake was low and the fishing slow. However, the restrooms were locked up for too long for no good reason and the camp host was less than friendly.
The camp map needs to be reviewed because the site we chose and the one that is marked are not one and the same.
