What Guests Are Saying
Deer Creek Campground offers a beautiful setting with clean facilities, friendly camp hosts, and great access to the lake, making it a popular choice for camping and outdoor activities. Many visitors appreciate the well-maintained campsites and ease of reserving spots online. However, some concerns were raised about limited restroom availability, occasional cleanliness issues, and the need for more campground options, particularly during busy seasons. Overall, it remains a cherished destination for many campers.

The site was perfect, but unfortunately, we had to evacuate because of the fire. Will definitely be back.
It was also a pleasant surprise to see that the camp ground fees were immediately and automatically returned. Who says government agencies can't be efficient?

We loved our visit to Deer Creek Campground. The camp host were very nice and helpful. Someone near us ran their generator excessively and after hours. The camp host were helpful in talking to the other campers about the rules. We were in campsite 1 and it was perfect for my 83 year old Mom. We had a great visit! We were so sad to hear about the Creek Fire starting the evening after we left! Praying for everyone!

We liked the campground and fact that the campsites are spaced out.

Normally stay in the Kinninnick campground, but due to its closure this year decided to get a site in Deer Creek. Have been camping at Huntington Lake for 60 plus years I was familiar with all the campgrounds. Site was big enough for us to put up 4 tents and have room for all our other gear. Proximity to lake is a plus, site backed up to the road so traffic noise began around 6am.

I love lake Huntington but the campsites at deer creek are really close together and they have a problem with bears. I am very careful to pack everything in the bear box but a few of my neighbors were not had and had bears close to my tent ravaging through my neighbors food in the middle of the night. The bear was to close for my comfort and I didn’t sleep a wink. The ranger warned me when I checked In that bears had been coming every night. The other problem was the only place my 2 man tent would fit was on a slant so kept sliding down when trying to sleep. My space was #26 and I would not stay there again.

The campground was one of the cleanest I have ever seen. The host cleans up and rakes each site before the next campers take over the site. It also has great lake access. It is also a very quiet and relaxing campground.

This was my family's 20th anniversary coming to Huntington Lake and staying at Deer Creek. We've never found better camping. Can't wait until next time!

At last we were able to book a site after all of the covid madness ..
So nice to get away 😌
We got there a day early and go to stay at a fcfs site , had a bear encounter!!! Kinda shook us up pretty bad . Be careful they are out there we spotted it first then decided to sleep in our truck only to be woken up by the bear literally rocking our truck to get the ice chest out of truck bed !!! Very very scary!! 😨 😱
