What Guests Are Saying
Deer Creek Campground offers a beautiful setting with clean facilities, friendly camp hosts, and great access to the lake, making it a popular choice for camping and outdoor activities. Many visitors appreciate the well-maintained campsites and ease of reserving spots online. However, some concerns were raised about limited restroom availability, occasional cleanliness issues, and the need for more campground options, particularly during busy seasons. Overall, it remains a cherished destination for many campers.

Deer Creek was a wonderful one-week camping experience. Kudos to your amazing camp hosts Carmen and Michael.
The bathrooms were as clean or cleaner than I’ve ever seen in 70 years of camping. The campsites are raked clean prior to a new reservation arriving! These hosts deserve a big thumbs up!

The campground is relatively unchanged since last year. The fire mainly affected areas in the westernmost and southern part of the lake shore. The store, restaurant, and saloon are closed, but the small store at the gas station is open. We had a wonderful week by the lake, hiking the lakeshore and exploring the Kaiser Pass Rd to Edison Lake and the Potter Pass loop. Mono Hot Springs looks to be in full operation.

Love that you have recycling in the campground now!
The soap in the bathrooms was a nice touch.
Carmen and her husband (our camp hosts) were lovely, and made it a pleasant stay!
Huntington continues to be a magical place to spend time in the summer.

Awesome view! We were at site 12 there’s no shade, so be aware of that and carry one or two. I feel like space between 11 and 12 are very close or the sites are little. That weekend the restrooms doesn’t work so that was bad, in the night you can solved but at the day was awful. There’s just one restroom building for the I think 13 spaces but is ok. Nice view

Nice protected cove for swimming, etc. Close to boat ramp so convenient to walk there for sailing races. Glad this area survived the fire but its a bummer how many trees had to be removed for new powerlines, etc. Also, it's a bummer that Lakeshore Resort is closed. Glad that Rancheria Marina store was open for ice, gas and food, etc.

Carmen and Michael were the best camp hosts that we have ever encountered. Friendly, proactive, efficient. The campsites were very well tended, the bathrooms were the cleanest I have seen in 20 years. Michael and Carmen should be commended as the team that goes the extra distance to make folks feel welcomed. Very impressed and so happy that they are the new hosts.
