What Guests Are Saying
Deer Creek Campground offers a beautiful setting with clean facilities, friendly camp hosts, and great access to the lake, making it a popular choice for camping and outdoor activities. Many visitors appreciate the well-maintained campsites and ease of reserving spots online. However, some concerns were raised about limited restroom availability, occasional cleanliness issues, and the need for more campground options, particularly during busy seasons. Overall, it remains a cherished destination for many campers.

The supervisor of the campground is overbearing and unreasonable. She made me move a car even though there were no “no parking” signs posted.

We had a wonderful time camping at Deer Creek in Huntington Lake! The check-in process was super easy—when you reserve online, you can go straight to your assigned campsite without any hassle. The area is absolutely beautiful, very peaceful, and quiet—perfect for relaxing and enjoying nature.
There’s a convenient store within walking distance in case you need supplies, and the bathroom was impressively clean for a campground. The camp host is located right at the entrance and was friendly and available if we needed anything.
A quick tip: bring extra blankets—it gets pretty chilly at night, even during summer.
Highly recommend this spot for anyone looking to unwind and enjoy a quiet camping experience by the lake!

Need to have more campgrounds open at Huntington Lake. Several campgrounds (Kinnikinnick and Catavee and others) have been closed for several years. You have managed to have these camp grounds open for decades and now for some reason you you can't.
In addition the campsites that were open most of the restrooms were not operable and padlocked.
In the 40 years that we have been camping at Huntington I have not seen worse conditions.
What Happened??

It is very hard to get reservations and there were only 2 working bathrooms for the whole campground. The camp host were pretty much non existent. We were there for 5 days and I think we saw them drive by twice. There are no showers or electricity in the whole campground.

Great biking and walking proximity to 2 restaurants, the boat launch and general store as well as quiet walking trails. A calm cove is in the campground and the sites are spacious and very clean. Look forward to coming back again.

Only 2 toilets for the entire campground wasn’t enough, resulting in long waiting lines
