What Guests Are Saying
Oh Ridge Campground offers a stunning location with beautiful lake access and spacious, clean campsites, making it a favorite for families and returning visitors. Despite some issues with restroom accessibility and a lack of showers, most guests appreciate the friendly staff and the well-maintained facilities. While there are concerns about parking fees and campground maintenance, the overall atmosphere and scenic views make it a desirable camping destination.

We've been here twice in three years. We prefer this campground to others in the June Lake area. Its open, and feels like camping, you are not too close to your neighbors. The loops are fun, and keeps traffic down so children riding their bikes and scooters feel safer. The walk to the lake is pleasant and not overbearing. We had a good engagement with the camp host and look forward to seeing the couple again and perhaps having a tasty beverage with them. We went in June this year and the weather was HOT! two years ago we went in July and it was windy and cold, plan for all when you go to the Sierra's. Bathrooms where clean, we showered in the trailer so no update on that. We used the Carson Peak laundromat, and it wasn't bad.

Lake was beautiful and fishing was great. The site had ample space for 2 trucks. The walk down to the lake is quite long as you have to get back on the road to head down or walk through thick brush.

The campground is a nice place, however you now have to pay extra to drive down to the lake. The campground fee used to cover this, but it is now an extra $10 per vehicle. You can still walk to the lake at no charge.

We Love OhRidge! The only issue we had was reentering the park after ice runs and adventures. The line at the check in kiosk so so long with people wanting to go to the beach. When the beach was full and the sign outside said full! People stayed in line hoping to get in, twice we were stopped in line for over 20 minutes while the person at the check in would not move and turn around. They were waiting for someone to leave the beach and therefore having a spot to get into. There should be a separate line for campers wanting to just recenter their camp site.
Also something needs to be done to block the outside parking area on the main road to keep people from parking there and climbing the hill and walking through campsites to get to the beach. We experienced this on 4th of July weekend when herds of people came over the hill right through our campsite and others just to get to the beach! We did not feel safe and worried about our stuff being stolen.
We have stayed at OhRidge many many times! Bathrooms are well maintained and clean. Our hosts for the past couple years, JD and Cam are the best ! They are very friendly and helpful while keeping people in there place when issues arise. Special praise to them!
I would have given 5 stars rating but the issue in getting back into the park kept me from ding so!
Hopefully things will change with getting more staff to deal with the backup at the check in. We know you make a lot of money from the beach so hopefully you will use some to hire staff to deal with those wanting to go to the beach.
Thanks for listening.

Beautiful views of June Lake and surrounding area. Restrooms located in each loop. Large sites with water for filling tanks in each loop. No showers on site.

There are not many trees here to provide shade. The beach causes an enormous amount of congestion, unsafe conditions people walking through the occupied campsites with NO SECURITY for the camper’s. The only positive side of all this is the camp host being Mike and Betsy located in campsite 160 they are the nicest people/ host we have ever encountered and we’ve been camping at June Lake , oh Ridge for 50 plus years. If not for their generosity as host our latest camping experience would’ve been a disaster, because we had numerous problems with our new travel trailer. Thank you Mike and Betsy.

So much fun! Bear loop has amazing views but works only if you have a toilet on board. The restrooms are quite far otherwise! For us in our motorhome it was perfect!

The confirmation email says an extra vehicle is $7, but they charge you $9 when you are there. I didn’t argue because the workers there were kind of rude about it and I’m on vacation. But I did find it weird because of how they acted about it. Have to pay to go to the beach now. But other than that a good trip. I always love coming here. It’s just beautiful!
