Oh Ridge

Bathrooms have running water and electricity. This campground is a great location in proximity to June Lake (beautiful beach and views although beach is littered with broken glass and rusty bottle caps wear sandals or water shoes!!) What they don't tell you is that you HAVE to pay the additional $10 fee to park your car at the beach parking lot even if you pay for camping. The hosts are very rude and aggressive. They will hassle you severely even if you are trying to make a drop off for a brief 10 minutes to unload some heavy items (cooler, paddle boards kayaks, kids) for your beach day at the lake. We were told by the host we were unable to go down there to drop off, we were going to be fined $130 by the Sherriff if we were caught down there DROPPING OFF, after challenging him he said "oh well you can go to the check-in station, and they will give you a 10-minute pass" which we did and the lady had no problem at all issuing it she almost made it sound like we didn't even need to get it (she was just humoring the other host). Most of the hosts were not very friendly. We stayed a weekday in off season and got treated like it was a peak holiday weekend and we were partying. It was not a comfortable friendly campground. I wouldn't recommend this place, nor will I stay here again.

There are a lot of rules on June Lake.

Campsites too close to each other. Fire pit is literally next to your neighbors. No room for ground tent either. All you get is a slope to the bushes leading to the lake.

Entire campground is half empty on the weekend so why trying to squeeze all these sites together??? Not great.

All but one aspect was great!
We have been to Oh Ridge before for many years. However this time I noticed there is more trash on site but mostly on the Beach. Which saddened my family. We took it upon ourselves to go late night on our last night and gather trash on the beach. We hope everyone helps out and lends a hand to keep it beautiful and safe for all who visit but most importantly the animals who live there.

Great location to enjoy the Eastern Sierras. Excellent cell phone coverage. Beautiful views of the surrounding mountains and June Lake. It was disappointing to have to spend another $10 everyday you want to drive to the beach. You can walk there at no cost. It's a nice hike down to the beach, but be prepared for the hike back up at the high altitude while carrying all your beach equipment. Float tube fishing on Gull Lake was wonderful.

Clean, well kept campground withe great gate keeper and host. Fishing was great. Please takeover the campground next door. This is our 3rd year at June Lake and first at Oh Ridge, we’ll definitely come back Garnett year

I was surprised to see I could see the lake from my spot. Always hard to tell which spots have a view!

Park was very nice with a great view and woodsy feel. Appeared more so than neighbor parks

We loved this campsite. There was just enough shade to ensure we don't get overheated, but also enough sun to enjoy the warmth during the day. The site overlooks June Lake, while also being a short 10 minute walk to the lake itself. The nearly daily morning visits by the local deer was also an amazing experience. I'd definitely consider booking here again.
