Great camp grounds and helpful staff on site! This was a great pit stop car camp place for us as we were visiting the area. Relatively close to a lot of the attractions in the area and easy to get to.

My family and I stayed at Sherwin Creek from July 8-15; it was a great experience. While traveling to the campground on July 8th, we received a text from Deborah (a campground host) about our expected arrival time, which was interesting as we had never been texted years prior. It turns out she texts campers on their arrival day to ensure they will be occupying their site for their reservation period, and if not, she puts the site up as "available" for other campers to occupy. What a great idea! Deborah even gave out her phone number so you could text her about any issues you had during your stay.
The campground and sites, as well as the restrooms, were spotless. All the hosts were super friendly. We were in Mike and Patty's area; they were constantly checking in on the campers and the grounds and giving updates on bear activity.
My family has been camping at Sherwin Creek for 25 years, some years better than others. Obviously, these hosts go out of their way to promote a pleasant camping experience.

The camp hosts were great people. We had a very good experience in this campsite. The vault toilets are as clean as can be given the type. Very accessible to the town and the highway. Highly recommended

The campground is beautiful and site 84 was a perfect spot. The creek runs behind the site and you can hear it at night. The site is a short walk away from the restrooms, a water spigot, and camp hosts. The camp hosts Debbie and Tony are absolutely the kindest people, they helped me out when my car needed to stay in the shop for 1.5 days. The site was clean and the restrooms were kept clean as well. 100% will be returning in the future.

The location is perfect! Quiet, relaxing, just the trees, the sound of the creek and birds.
June Lake is 25 minutes away so that made a perfect activity for one of the days we spent at the campground.
The host, Debbie, she is wonderful! I can tell she works hard trying to keep everyone safe and happy. Checking if we needed anything else and trying to accommodate everyone’s needs.
The bathrooms were clean on schedule on when needed.
This place is a little piece of heaven!
Thank you Debbie 💚

Clean campsite, attentive hosts, close enough to Mammoth to be accessible but far enough away that it’s quiet. Sherwin Lake hike was beautiful and well worth the moderate effort. Would recommend and plan to return!
