Way too crowded and people were leaving trash all over. Site was very small and had a very difficult time getting trailer and truck in the site. Our table was literally 5" from side of trailer. We couldn't pull back any farther or we wouldn't have been able to open the door. Very pretty area.

The river and 3 waterfalls were absolutely gorgeous and the hiking trails were partly shady and easy. Jumping into the swimming hole at the lower falls is a must! SO fun!! I do want to mention that I was disappointed with people leaving their trash at the lower falls :(

This is a wonderful campground beside the McCloud river and the lower falls. Deer walked through our Campsie every night. The bear boxes are big and the fire pit is in great shape with a movable grill. And the stars. WOW - the stars were amazing.

We had many issues with this campground. We spent 3 nights here. This campground is not large enough for the need. There are people arriving at 8am to wait for first come first serve spaces. They need to essentially hover until the current occupants leave. This campground does not have enough bathrooms for the amount of people using the space. The bathrooms were extremely unsanitary. There is a Yellowjacket problem. Although there are traps on all of the trees, the yellow jackets swarm you when you eat every meal. The waterfalls are nice and it is worth a look.

What a great spot for camping! Close to the river and amazing waterfalls. Our campsite was huge and shady, with plenty of space from neighboring sites. We went on a Friday night and it was crowded at the campground and at the falls, with a few groups partying pretty hard. I'm guessing if you want a quieter experience, you might have better luck going midweek. We went to the upper falls at 9am on a Saturday and had the place to ourselves, but when we went to the lower falls around noon, the parking lot was overflowing and there were a ton of people at the falls so we didn't stay long. We definitely plan on coming back!

Lots of yellow jackets, but there are signs they are trying to combat this by hanging traps everywhere. Beautiful secluded site (#30) but there was a lot of tourist action on the trails.
