Facilities were clean, campsites were spacious enough although a bit close to other sites. Overall a nice base camp to start our backpacking trip.

We stayed in site B39 with a 28’ trailer (total length). Great campground and location. Folks with trailers/RVs should have leveling blocks as many sites aren’t level, including B39. Site B39 has no shade for the vehicle and Bear box from about 10am to 4pm in early August. There weren’t any campground hosts and folks were running generators starting around 6:30am. A 28’ trailer is about the longest trailer the site can accommodate, unless your trailer can overhang the end of pavement and can deal with the slope.

Clean bathrooms, many large sites, and great hikes. Please note there is no cell phone service there.

We enjoyed Lassen NP and camping at Manzanita Lake it is a beautiful place! Our camp site was great lots of trees for shade and a large bear locker that we could store our cooler and supplies in. The bathroom situation was interesting lights only seemed to go on in the morning, so they were off at night?! So bring a lantern! Bring cash despite it being a credit card only park, gas station at the camp store only takes cash for gas (or fill up before entering the park), wood was pricey at the camp store $15 a bundle (4 logs).
