About Manzanita Lake

Manzanita Lake Campground (elevation 5,900 ft.) is the largest campground in Lassen Volcanic National Park. It is within walking distance of the scenic Manzanita Lake, a popular fishing and family destination, and offers impressive views of Lassen Peak, the largest volcano in the park at 10,457 feet. The facility is conveniently located one mile south of the park entrance, close to The Loomis Museum, Loomis Ranger Station and popular hiking trails. Educational programs are presented at the museum and amphitheater.

While the site was nice, it is NOT 30' long. We have a 24' RV and had trouble fitting into the site. Note that the table is in the sun nearly all day.

Excellent campground with a lot of space between campgrounds. Walking around the lake, watching the sunset, squirrel and duck observation as well as the butterfly migration were some our favorite pastimes. 20 minute drive to the upper parking lot @ mount Lassen. Did the moonlight hike up mount Lassen. 3 1/2h up to see the sunset and hiked back down by moonlight while watching the moon rise shortly after the sunset. Incredible views and colors! We will do it again next year!

Wonderful both being close to the lake and amenities such as the store and gas station. Also a great location - 20 minute drive from the subway lava tubes and about 30 minute drive to many of the main hiking spots in Lassen National Park.

캠프사이트가 들어오는 입구에는 RV+텐트 사이트들이고, 텐트 온리 사이트는 거의 끝 D 장단점이 있겠지만, D14은 바로 산등성이 랑 근접해서 사슴들도 내려오고, 조용하고 . 근데 화장실이 좀 멀다. 극립공원 여러곳을 다니기에 동선도 아주좋고. 가족 위주의 캠퍼들이 많아서 여자 솔로캠퍼에게도 안전한거 같다.

Cancellation policy

  • Reservation fees are non-refundable. For campsites, cabins, lookouts, yurts, group sites, and similar stays, we charge a reservation service fee of $8.
  • Standard cancellations usually have a $10 cancellation fee. Customers can generally cancel before the check-in date online.
  • Late cancellation rules differ by stay type.
    • Individual campsites: cancelling after 12:00am local time the day before arrival usually means a $10 cancellation fee plus forfeiting the first night's fee.
    • Cabins, lookouts, and yurts: cancelling less than 14 days before arrival usually means a $10 cancellation fee plus forfeiting the first night's fee.
    • One-night reservations: a late cancellation usually forfeits the full amount paid, up to the total original reservation cost.
  • Modifications are allowed before the cut-off window, but fees depend on the change. Changing to dates completely outside the original reservation dates may trigger a $10 change fee. Extending or shortening a stay that still includes original dates usually has no change fee, though refunds may depend on timing and facility rules. Switching to the same type of campsite for the same dates usually has no change fee, but price differences are charged or refunded.
  • Early departures may or may not be refunded. At certain facilities, partial refunds may be possible if staff can mark the site available for other visitors. No refund is given for a night if the early departure is requested after that day's check-out time.
  • Security deposits are separate. Security deposits may be refunded to the original payment method if the facility is left in acceptable condition, as determined by the property.
