Campground spacing is tight. There is not much room between you and your neighbors. Some campsites are laid out better than others.

We were unaware that there was day use parking between our camp siteS 1 and 25 and the lake. All day people were coming and going, arguing about spaces and asking if they could park in our camping area as well. It would be more peaceful to have day use parking away from camping area.

A wonderful camping/hiking experience. The weather was perfect, mid 80’s. The campground, though full, very quiet, everyone politely keeping distancing in campground, on the trails and by the lake. A perfect experience at Lassen.

Lovely small campground. Supervised kindly yet firmly by the campground host. Clean bathrooms. And Summit Lake itself is a gem. Perfect place to camp to see most of Lassen's attractions.

This is an excellent lake for relaxing, swimming, or paddling a boat. The location is fine for major hikes in Lassen - Bumpass Pass, Lassen Peak and numerous lakes are all nearby.
