We liked that there were large restoration areas around the campsite. We weren't able to find a short way to the lake though.

Beautiful place. I chose the tent only area. The spaces are huge. Shaded, large trees, nearby lake and meadow, great scenery. You get a table and fire pit, and parking for one vehicle. Water faucets are nearby. This is a central location, close to many of the park’s attractions. My only criticism is that you only get vault toilets, and no showers. For a real shower experience you need to drive 25 min.

Mt. Lassen is so beautiful.
So many great hikes and lakes to explore.

From Redding, California take State Highway 44 east approximately 48 miles to the Manzanita Lake entrance of the park. The campground is 14 miles south of the entrance on the main park road.
