We had great fun at Summit Lake. We had 2 adjacent campsites for our group. The sites are well spaced so we weren't crowded with other neighbors. The sites were clean and left in good condition. Everything was great. Can't wait to return next summer!

Our spot was close to the summit trail for our morning embarkment. In the evening, we enjoyed the short walk to the lake trail and watched the sun set over the mountain. Even though there were other campers close by it felt like our spot was secluded. Close to bathrooms and trash cans as well. I can't wait to reserve the same spot this year!

It is a nice campground. It was clean and spacious. The campground had ranger presentations on Friday and Saturday nights. We enjoyed it tremendously. Especially the hike to the top of Mt Lassen!

The campsite was sloped and had a lot of runoff from melting snow (the snow melt wasn’t surprising since the campground had just been opened). Plus, it felt a little crowded compared to the other campgrounds on our trip. Beautiful park, though!
