Saw a rattlesnake, but it was minding its own business, friendly, being very cautious, keeping an eye on me to make sure I didn’t provoke it.
It said “thank you for leaving me alone”, & then let me know;
“This is my home, so try not to burn it down!”
I said “I won’t, have a nice winter, & hope I don’t
See you again next year”!
We went our separate ways 👍

Very nice campground with some fun trails near by. Only downside is the sites are pretty close together, but other than that it was awesome!

The facilities were clean. The campground was nearly empty midweek during our visit. We had a great family camping experience.

Tucked away a couple of miles off the highway on Haypress Creek, this campground is laid out about perfectly. It’s in the midst of some steep terrain and heavy tree cover, so cell reception and STARLINK use are severely impaired, but you get used to that in no time. A place to relax and enjoy some hiking and fishing.

This place is so beautiful and peaceful, deep in woods, with a creek running besides it where you can swim... we'll organized, close to other lakes

Love Wild Plum! No Bear issues this trip, changes to trash bins to make more Bear proof seems to have worked. Never saw a bear in 9 days. Camp Hosts are the best, very friendly and organized and attentive.
