A simple yet attractive campground with easy access to trails and great mountain views.
Water, flush toilets and good separation between sites. It’s a bit older and could use a few updates but was well worth the fee and host Rick was helpful and very friendly.

Great camping spot! There is a brewery and general store close to the campsite. There are many animals around that are active at night. I booked the double campsite and it was huge! Great for families.

#Rick was an excellent camp host.
Bathrooms were well stocked & clean.
This camp ground was a perfect get away!!
Please know there is NO FISHING!! The closest fishing is Lake Henshaw. I was disappointed there was no fishing when the site clearly stated there was.
Besides that, it was a a perfect time spent with my grandsons. We’ll be going back!

Went in January so no ants. Very nice and well maintained grounds. Bathrooms were clean and smell free. Watched the Quadrantid Meteor Shower from this location. Skies were reasonably dark 20 miles east of Temecula so it was a good show. Will return.

Got snowed out and couldn't get to the campground. Ended up sleeping in a lower elevation restaurant parking lot instead :-( Always check the weather before heading to the mountains! Hopefully I'll be able to visit the campground sometime in the future.

The campground was very pretty and mostly isolated from the outside world. Rick and the other camp host were friendly and helpful and the sites weee generally close to amenities (water, pit toilets) but separate from each other (we were on Oak Loop). It was so cold but really lovely and nature-y.

I really like Oak Grove but my enjoyment can be diminished when too many people are around. I come out for the darker skies for Astronomy. Some people have ridiculous bright lamps going to the restrooms at night. Another camper was running his car early in the evening and the light winds blew the car exhaust in my direction for tens of minutes. I kept my cool. Fridays and the weekend can be difficult for my purposes. I'm still going to be coming back though.

Very clean campsite. One of my favorites. The person taking care of the campground is very friendly and is going a great job keeping the campground looking great.

From Interstate 15 take the 79 East. The campground is on the north side of the highway, across from the fire station. From Temecula, take State Rt. 79 south 24.1 miles and turn left at campground sign.
