At the base of Palomar Mountain, great hiking to the Fire Tower. Quiet enough to relax (in late November).

We had an overall good stay here. The campground was nice. The campground sites were spaced out enough where each site felt pretty private. The camp host was very nice and offered great suggestions about to things to do such as hiking and wine tasting. The only unfortunate part of our stay was that there were no campfires allowed and we did not find out until we got there. There needs to be more communication for these unavoidable instances where fires are not allowed due to high fire danger. We will definitely stay again and make sure we call the ranger station ahead of time.

Kind and welcoming campground host, clean site and bathrooms. Due to the heightened fire status on the weekend we went, campfires were not allowed, but we still had a fantastic time.

Love this campground, it would be perfect if it was in another state (California sucks), hosts are friendly as can be.

The place was great wasn’t loud or too packed. Had clean accessible bathrooms and running water. Only problem we had was no fire pit usage. On the app it says it was fine to use the fire pit, but had the host to the campsite came to us upset we had a fire.

Very clean campground. November was the perfect time to visit...not crowded and not hot. Also very few red ants as others have complained about. Stayed at campsite 41 which was towards the back and away from the highway. Sky was beautiful at night. Rick the camp host does a great job of scootering around the campgrounds to keep an eye on everything.

Great campground. Usually try to visit at least 2x per year. Love that there are cows that visit from the other side of the fence. This was the first time visiting around the new moon and the sky was phenomenal. Fire restrictions have become more strict, so we weren't able to use the campfire, but propane fires were allowed if you come prepared.
