Bathrooms need a lot of attention. They need to be cleaned more frequently and kept in useable order.

There is a wind chill at night and being right next to the water also makes it a tad bit chillier so keep that in mind.

Very nice place, level camp spots, clean bathrooms. The sites are well marked, but very hard to locate in the dark (that's my only complaint).

Clean campgrounds, restrooms with sinks real toilets and shower. Playgrounds for the little ones. Hiking trails for the average person without too much effort. And tons of water activities. Great place to visit and get away.

We really enjoyed our stay at Buckhorn. This was our first time here and was very satisfied. We have a 27 ft toy hauler trailer. Our site (#18) was more than big enough for the truck and trailer with the ramp down. We didn't have a lakeside site but we could see the lake and sunrise off the back. Sites are well spaced. We never visited the site restrooms since we had our own. There is a dump station that I didn't use but from a far it looked like a really tight turn getting into it which may be a problem for bigger rigs. There is an ohv area nearby and lake access/ boat ramp at the campground. Our visit was in October. This is a spring/fall campground because in the summer it is HOT! The pull thru sites are tandem style sites. The road is 2 lanes wide with no vehicles at the sites. That makes the sites well spaced. There is a volleyball pit and horseshoe pits located in the center of the campground. We will camp here again.

Some of the roads are on the narrow side with lots of up and down, but no problem for 30' trailer and 20' tow vehicle. A bit crowded on the weekend, but very nice during the week. Nice sunsets with the change of weather. We plan to return.

Directions to specific campsites was confusing. Driving in at dusk was hard to find campsite #. Seemed odd that the higher numbered sites were towards the entrance and the lower numbers at the end. Never found our campsite, so since there were only 3 other campers in the park, just pulled into one for the night.
