The toilets were completely filthy and a human hazard, with feces all over.

AS always our camping at Buckhorn camp site at BlackButte Lake has been a lot of fun. Lots of swimming other water sports, bbqing laughter story telling. We have camped at Buckhorn campground many times over the years and always had a wonderful time.

Spent a beautiful long weekend here. The kids had a ball wake and knee boarding and the adults enjoyed a relaxed great weekend. The park was nice and we enjoyed all the respectful campers. The skeeters, however, were out in full force and they seem to love insect repellant.

Very well-maintained facility overall. Bathrooms and showers were clean although no TP in the bathroom one day. Lots of areas along the lakeshore to enjoy. We had the misfortune of being there when a local boat club was there with their super loud speedboats. They felt compelled to show off how loud and it spoiled the day for everyone else.

Even though the generator behind the restroom was constantly going , the noise level was very doable and became part of the background sounds. Nice to have a shower and flush toilets! Lake is very full so some of our Hobie Fleet weed whacked to create a clearer beaching area. All was well.

Love the view of our site. The wind blows off the lake and keeps you cool all night long. The trees have grown so much they provide great shading. This is our 2nd time going for 3 nights and 4 days. Definitely doing it again next year. We had 4 boats, a wave runner and 2 kayaks. Our group was around 50 people. Lots of fishing, tubing, swimming.

We just spent one night in sight 6 with our 24’ camper and we had a good experience. Didn’t really have neighbors too close and had a great view of the lake. It only took a couple minutes to get down to the water, however, there aren’t a lot of places to sit and relax for the day (i.e. not many beach spots) close by. The site itself was mostly level side to side but our back stabilizers were nearly fully extended (with blocks) and the front ones we barely had to put out. The water spigot is close-by but in an awkward spot where other folks were skirting the boundary of our campsite to get to. It’s close to the bathrooms/showers which we didn’t use much, they were mostly clean but were inundated with insects. Note: there were LOTS of bugs everywhere when in late May and early June.

Water level was very high so we launched out paddle boards from the campsite and it was quiet with few guests mid week! Great first visit!

The Lake was full, the hills were green, the fish were bitin' and the water was warm. The trails are perfect... the restroom clean - what more can I say? I love this place in the springtime!
