What Guests Are Saying
Pinnacles Campground offers a beautiful natural setting with a variety of wildlife, well-maintained facilities, and easy access to numerous hiking trails, including the highly recommended Bear Gulch Cave trail. Campers appreciate the clean restrooms, hot showers, and generally private sites, making for a relaxing experience. While some noted issues with limited facilities and the presence of raccoons, overall, guests found the campground enjoyable and a great base for exploring the stunning landscapes of Pinnacles National Park.

The campground as a whole was great. Clean bathrooms close by, having the camp store and showers nearby was a major plus. Lots of wildlife around that were especially active in the early morning.

We loved Pinnacles. We visited at the very end of July, and the days were hot and the nights warm. Our campsite was great, close to water and the toilets, and had sun and shade to suit our needs. The park was amazing, we started our hikes early-ish (around 7) to beat the heat of the day (check out alltrails.com for some hiking ideas). We'd get back to the campground early afternoon and then enjoy the pool, which was nice and cool. We had two full days, which we spent doing each "half" of the park: the first day we did the balconies trail loop starting from the old pinnacles parking lot, and the second day we took it easy and did the southern trails, starting at bear gulch and doing the condor gulch trail to moses springs and back to bear gulch. Do be wary of the raccoons, which are numerous and bold. We were very careful with keeping our food locked away (there are a few other reviews warning about them which we took very seriously) and nothing got stolen from us, but we heard plenty of other campers trying (loudly) to shoo them off.

The underground waterfall is super cool. The best views of the pinnacles rock formations are from the Condor Gulch Trail from the Bear Gulch Nature Center parking lot. Might even see condors from the overlook about 1 mile up the trail.

Do not miss the Condor Gulch and High Peaks Trails. We saw 7 condors and 1 of them very close. During our stay we saw turkeys, lynx, rabbits, dears and quails. Amasing and relax park.

Bathroom near us was closed due to some plumbing issues. No notice as to where to go (turns out the nearest bathroom was quite a hike). Should have at least had a port-a-potty.

Not enough toilets for a campground of ~160 sites.

The site was nice and quiet. It was big, enough for a big group of people to hangout. There was a grill pit. They sell the fire woods at the campground store.

Expect long lines and delays [or possible restrictions especially] between 10:00 am and 3:00 pm.
