What Guests Are Saying
Pinnacles Campground offers a beautiful natural setting with a variety of wildlife, well-maintained facilities, and easy access to numerous hiking trails, including the highly recommended Bear Gulch Cave trail. Campers appreciate the clean restrooms, hot showers, and generally private sites, making for a relaxing experience. While some noted issues with limited facilities and the presence of raccoons, overall, guests found the campground enjoyable and a great base for exploring the stunning landscapes of Pinnacles National Park.

Poor camping experience - no quiet hour enforcement
Had to leave after one night despite having a weekend reservation. A large group at the adjacent group campsite was extremely loud from 8 PM until midnight Friday, then again starting at 6:30 AM Saturday. The noise was so excessive we couldn't have a normal conversation at our own site. Multiple other campers in our section also left Saturday morning due to the same issue. No park rangers were present to enforce quiet hours or address the situation. While the park itself is beautiful, the lack of staff oversight during peak camping times seriously impacts the camping experience. Would not recommend camping here on weekends without better noise enforcement.

A pool made the 100° heat quite bearable, and the turkey vultures and a couple of condors provided a great flight show.
Now if only RV air conditioners were silent, it’d be paradise.

We went in summer, it was a beautiful yellow sceane. It gave a very different feel from what I've generally seen in Cali (doesnt have redwood trees etc). The camp site was good, but there were multiple ant holes and huge red ants. Big red ants was the major drawback. The swimming pool was constantly busy during the weekend. But on a weekday, we got 1 hr all by ourselves. I will go again.

The campground had full services and great opportunities for viewing condors and other birds. We really appreciated the pool during the hottest hours of the day!

The Racoons were aggressively searching and stealing food. They ran through the camp all night long and even climping into Vehicles while we were loading up to go.

Super great campsite, with amazing bathrooms. We stayed for 3 nights and rock climbed two days. The climbs in the park are amazing!

The campground was beautiful, quiet and clean! I was surprised that on the East side I couldn’t see any pinnacles tho? I guess maybe you have to go all the way around to the west side? I saw lots of blue jays, woodpeckers and quail tho, so that was fun!

Such a pretty campsite, under the huge trees. We saw a bunch of wildlife, it was so nice and quiet here.

Turns out that the swimming pool was not operative during our stay. If this is important to you, you might want to check before you arrive.

Expect long lines and delays [or possible restrictions especially] between 10:00 am and 3:00 pm.
