What Guests Are Saying
Pinnacles Campground offers a beautiful natural setting with a variety of wildlife, well-maintained facilities, and easy access to numerous hiking trails, including the highly recommended Bear Gulch Cave trail. Campers appreciate the clean restrooms, hot showers, and generally private sites, making for a relaxing experience. While some noted issues with limited facilities and the presence of raccoons, overall, guests found the campground enjoyable and a great base for exploring the stunning landscapes of Pinnacles National Park.

Beautiful Campground with Just One Small Flaw
Loved our stay at Pinnacles Campground! Perfect campsite and beautiful hike to the reservoir and Balcony Caves. Only downside was a clogged restroom—hope maintenance improves. Still, we’d definitely come back!

Raccoons gotten in our tent. We had no food in the tent. The raccoons need to be eradicated, even if it requires shutting down the campground for a while.

We stayed in site 63 which did not have much shade but since we went mid-March that wasn't a problem. This site only had room for our one tent as well. It was located fairly close to several porta potties with hand washing stations that were well maintained. Actual bathrooms with flushing toilets were about a 5 minute walk away. The park had ample hiking and sightseeing opportunities including caves, california condors and several wildflower species although we were a bit early for the supposed superbloom. After a long day of hiking there were free showers located next to the camp store which had fire wood, souvenirs, and basic amenities. Overall all, we had a fantastic stay and will return in the future.

Fabulous service, gorgeous park. The RV sites could use more trees to provide shade

Some lovely, non-strenuous walks right from the campground. Folks at the store/visitor center were very helpful and friendly. Showers were free and clean. Only disappointment was that all the facilities at Bear Gulch were closed up tight, due to no available staff. The cuts are hitting all of us.

Raccoons are rampant. Some of the population should be trapped and relocated before people get hurt. Trees in some campground areas are heavy laden with limbs. Again, before someone is seriously injured the trees should be dealt with.
Otherwise, good experience. Clean bathrooms. Friendly staff.

Really nice campground in a great location to the hikes. Its important to realize that the RV spots do not have water hookups, so be sure to fill up your tanks when you arrive before parking.

Expect long lines and delays [or possible restrictions especially] between 10:00 am and 3:00 pm.
