What Guests Are Saying
Pinnacles Campground offers a beautiful natural setting with a variety of wildlife, well-maintained facilities, and easy access to numerous hiking trails, including the highly recommended Bear Gulch Cave trail. Campers appreciate the clean restrooms, hot showers, and generally private sites, making for a relaxing experience. While some noted issues with limited facilities and the presence of raccoons, overall, guests found the campground enjoyable and a great base for exploring the stunning landscapes of Pinnacles National Park.

Campsite was roomy. Conveniently located and electric hookup was good. Not particularly pretty. Dusty and dry. Pool was not open.
Pretty much ok , nothing unexpectedly

It was unusually hot during our stay and with only 30 amp it was difficult to keep the trailer cool. My husband and daughter enjoyed a hike to the reservoir. We also hiked out to the homestead. Saw lots of turkey vultures but no condors. The staff were pleasant and helpful. The dump station is tilled the wrong way so getting a through dump was impossible.

The park rangers at the campsite were rude. There was nobody staying at the two sites next on us and yet we couldn’t temporarily park a third car there. The pool was not open like originally stated. The showers were flooding. The raccoons were out of control. Terrible experience and we’ll never be back.

The campsite and hike was wonderful. The weekend we went was super hot though. Other than that, our time at the Pinnacles National Park was quite nice.

Although restrooms in the campgrounds are porta-potties, they were clean and well stocked. Campsites had great shade and were clean. The camp store and attached bookstore were both well stocked and staff was very friendly. Wildlife was very bold so careful with storing food. We did the high peaks hike and the balconies hike, both of which were amazing. Bring plenty of water for both.

Campsites 12, 13, & 14 are right next to each other. There is no separation between the sites. Beware the raccoons. They hide out in the bushes behind the campsite, and they are pretty fearless. They will scavenge the site and enter any open door. Car or tent. They come at you in groups of two or three. While you deal with one, the other two take advantage of the situation.
