Pinnacles Campground offers a beautiful natural setting with a variety of wildlife, well-maintained facilities, and easy access to numerous hiking trails, including the highly recommended Bear Gulch Cave trail. Campers appreciate the clean restrooms, hot showers, and generally private sites, making for a relaxing experience. While some noted issues with limited facilities and the presence of raccoons, overall, guests found the campground enjoyable and a great base for exploring the stunning landscapes of Pinnacles National Park.

Tent cabins are great! Super clean, generous size, well maintained. Solar charger worked in our tent cabin but only could do one phone. Bathroom was clean and close by. We loved the whole trip- did some hiking, uke playing, relaxing. My phone got satellite text messaging!

Great launching point to hiking the park, shuttles made it easy to return at the end of the day, camp store was reasonably well stocked and they have hot showers!
What more can you ask for :)

We were only here for one day but the campsite was fine, dump convenient, did one hike and it was very enjoyable. Very few people. Trailheads are small and there is no RV parking so we had to park one mile away and walk to the trail head. We saw turkey and deer, sadly no condor.

This campsite seemed more private than most, it was the only one in the vicinity on its side of the road. Very spacious. The nearby toilets were port-o-potties, if that matters to you.
The campsites are pretty far from the well known hiking trails near the inside of the park. I was here on Thanksgiving day where things weren't too full, so I was able to drive in and park easily. The day after Thanksgiving was another story - the lots in the park (bear gulch, old pinnacles, others) filled up early. The shuttle service they offered from the campground parking to bear gulch, while much appreciated, was not frequent enough to handle all the visitors. For busy holidays/weekends, prepare for disappointing waits, or to tack on an extra 5 miles of hiking if you want to hike in straight from the campgrounds.

Pinnacles is wonderful. The campsite is slightly set apart from the other 4 sites in this cluster, and is a (short) walk from where you would park your car - watch out for ant hills on the way. Trees to the south/west made for some nice afternoon/evening shade. Bathrooms were clean, with flush toilets, and easy to use, surprising given it was shared with a number of group camps. As others have said, beware raccoons, jays, and other critters around your food. I personally was very charmed by the bunnies and quail I was sharing the space with.
It was right off the Bench Trail which was very convenient, but also meant that hikers would pass close by and occasionally wander into your site. And the site is close to the road leading into the park, right by some rumble strips, which you can hear most of the day and also in the wee hours. For hikes starting from Old Pinnacles or Bear Gulch, I just drove in since starting from the campground would have added an extra 5 miles or so, and parking was easy on weekday mornings. But I hiked straight from the campsite for a nice long nature walk around South Wilderness Trail, which I thoroughly enjoyed - both the hike and the fact I didn't have to drive or shuttle anywhere.

Such an awesome campsite! So many birds and other wildlife. Lots of wooded sites. Bathrooms not too far away. Definitely worth the stay!

The campground is well kept, in a very nice setting. To get the most of the park one needs to walk the trails. It should be noted that generators are not allowed in the campground. If you need power there are sites with hookups.

We were at campsite 114 and felt like that campsite was significantly lower quality than the others. It has no protection from the RV turnaround or overflow parking. The park is beautiful, but I wish I was aware of the difference between campsite quality before arriving.
