What Guests Are Saying

Pine Glen Campground offers spacious and clean sites, friendly camp hosts, and is well-maintained, making it an ideal spot for families and groups. The campground is conveniently located near hiking and biking trails, as well as town amenities, while maintaining a peaceful, forested atmosphere. Some minor issues include noise from other campers and challenges with parking for larger trailers, but overall, guests have had positive experiences and plan to return.

Really liked the location of this campground - close to town, yet just far enough away that still quiet, peaceful. The pine forest setting is really pretty. The space was a bit tight to back into (towing a trailer) with the trees, rocks - just took a couple of tries but it was level, which was actually a nice surprise. Great location to get out for day hikes in Mammoth area - so many to choose from. Bathrooms were pretty decent. Used the potable water to fill up our camelbacks for hiking, that was convenient. Camp host was friendly, and suggested some places to hike, see. We would definitely stay here again.

We stayed near the group campsites at Site #6. The site is large, fairly level, has plenty of trees and shade, and the camp hosts were very organized and greeted us with information already prepared and left at our site upon our arrival. Bathrooms were clean.

Reason for there stars for this particular site is the group campsite area was the next set of sites over. On our particular weekend, the Mammoth Lakes chapter of Alcoholics Anonymous hosted a large event and cars were overflowing into the road. They had set up speakers and a podium and were doing open mic during the evening and I could hear everything they were saying at our site. I have not read the rules, so maybe this is an exception granted to group sites, but I was surprised this was allowed given the normal campsite rules.

The length of generator use was plenty long 6am-10pm would be better if it wasn't starting until 8am we go camping to get away from the noise.
Other NF campgrounds generator use is usually much more restricted.

Lot of noise from tree felling.
I feel that we should have been notified of it prior and/or offered a discount for that reason.

Campsites were spaced quite nicely and the fire pit, table, grill, and bear box were clean. It was a nice place to take my boyfriend tent camping for his first time ever since it was woodsy but also close to all the grocery stores etc in town. The bathrooms were clean and we only waited one time in the morning to use them. There are no showers so factor that into your plans.

Camp host was nice and knowledgeable about the area. Fewer bugs than by the lakes, but you can hear the road at night.

Site 15 is small and cramped for a large group - we usually get a site on the outside of the ring rather than the inside. Site was clean and well maintained.
