The location is great! Our family reserved the whole campsite (all 10 sites). It was a very hot weekend but the water was close enough for us to take a short drive down the hill and enjoy the fresh water. The bathrooms were not clean, but we were prepared and took our own cleaning stuff to bring it up to par. I'm not going to complain because at least we had toilets and showers to use. We can't wait to go back next year!!!

The water was very low at the lake. It’s a good idea to go to the site to see the actual campsites. We stayed at campsite one and it was not enough room for more than one large tent. We needed to get a second campsite.

Water was perfect most all the sites have good shade . Quiet little camp not to many people. Only issue....the bathrooms...they need some love. They had to and all that just could use a good scrub. Well the womens was bad. The men's was not as bad but yea. Cobwebs and a bat enjoy the space too lol. But other than that it was great.
Bring swim shoes! Lots of stickers by the water but water was perfect !
Not to many boats...just a really nice weekend at the lake

It gets real hot in the summer time, but it’s perfect in May. A little chilly in the middle of the night, but it passes quickly. The water is higher up in May, as well, so the walk down from the campsite is super quick. Also the restroom is pretty close to the campsite and they have a shower. It’s a nice lil spot. Bring shade if you got it tho!

My friend and I had a great time spending the night at Trimmer campground. We spent the afternoon kayaking. But in the late afternoon early evening several truck loads of Asian adults came fishing down next to the shore. We thought they would leave when it got dark, but no they set up several tents down by their vehicles and water. When we got up in the morning they were all gone but did leave some trash behind. Then when in the morning when we were packing up to leave a group of young men wanted to get into our campsite at 9 or 10 AM. They asked us when we were going to leave and we said 12 noon. I shared with them that check in time is 2 PM. Also when we arrived there was like these campers way on the top campsite. As soon as we got there a rough looking young lady came and asked us if we had a cold drink and a smoke?
Then the next day a rough looking man came asked me if I had any water? I gave him a gallon I bought at the store but told him the blue water spigot is drinkable water. They said they were out of everything because the person who was supposed to pick them up had not come. So overall it was a beautiful CG but needs a little more ranger supervision with the Asian and rough looking people.

It was a nice stay even with the rain.

Fire wood is a must to stay warm, cook food and relax.

It’s nice to be able to shower while out in nature.

Reasonable
Bathrooms with working shower which was good
Bathroom sinks need urgent replacing, very rusty and unsightly.
Driveway could use repaving
Great setting overall
