Campsites are literally one on top of the other. Our neighbors were less than 10ft away. Listen to him snore all night...No Shade, very dusty and hot.
Will not be back....

The park was fine during the day but unfortunately there was someone on the campground that was loud and obnoxious, talking loudly until about 1am. From the conversation it seems she was intoxicated. The quiet hours were not enforced.

No shade water was way to low we where post to stay 4 days but we only stayed 2 days

It’s always a good time at Island Park but this last time the bathrooms were closed and the electricity went out our last night there. Other than that we had a good time

The space 49 location was perfect, and advertised as able to accommodate our coach, however, the rear bumper bottomed out on the entry and we couldn’t use it. We couldn’t find a ranger to discuss and the assistant ranger told us that he would be around this evening. He never came.“camp volunteer” was not able to help us. We reserves space 34 for the same timeframe, but we’re not able to get refunded for the space we couldn’t use (49).
Not pleased with not making refunds available, RIPPED OFF!!

Came for the first time and I would never return. Unless you have water toys to go out into the lake it’s a hard pass. Overflow is horrible, basically parking spots with white sprayed lines , neighbors directly next to you on every side , no shade , no direct access to lake and over crowded.

Site 14 is absolutely not a RV site. It might have electricity but you literally park on the side of the road which makes you no where near the fire pit or picnic table. We were very disappointed when we showed up and very confused. No one in the guard shack all weekend to even assist or find us a new site.

Our trip was excellent only downfall was that the bathrooms ran out of toilet paper so we had to take napkins when we went to the bathroom but other then that it was great

From Fresno, California, travel east on Highway 180/Kings Canyon Highway to Academy Avenue. Turn left onto Academy Avenue, and then turn right on Belmont Avenue. Continue traveling for approximately 20 miles; the entrance to Island Park Recreation Area is on the right.
NOTE: Belmont Avenue becomes East Trimmer Springs Road approximately 6 miles east of the Academy Avenue intersection.
Island Park is accessible via CA-99 approximately 15 miles to the west.

Policies & Rules
General
- Maximum 2 vehicles per individual campsite (4 vehicles for double campsites).
- Maximum 8 people per individual campsite (16 people for double campsites).
- Maximum 14 day camping limit.
- Entrance gates MAY be locked. Vehicles may exit at anytime, however re-entry into the campground when the gates are locked is prohibited.
- Rattlesnakes frequent the area starting early spring through late summer. Please use caution.
- Due to low water levels, lake access from the recreation areas and campground may not be available.
- Don't Move Firewood: Protect your forests from tree-killing pests by buying your firewood locally and burning it on-site. Visit Dontmovefirewood.org for further information.
