What Guests Are Saying
Trimmer Campground offers a beautiful, peaceful setting with lovely views of the lake and good AT&T service, making it a nice spot for relaxation, boating, and fishing. Many reviews highlighted the shaded campsites and overall cleanliness, though there are concerns about bathroom maintenance and the campground's isolation. While some visitors faced issues with restroom availability and cleanliness, others enjoyed their stays and appreciated the quiet atmosphere.

My friend and I had a great time spending the night at Trimmer campground. We spent the afternoon kayaking. But in the late afternoon early evening several truck loads of Asian adults came fishing down next to the shore. We thought they would leave when it got dark, but no they set up several tents down by their vehicles and water. When we got up in the morning they were all gone but did leave some trash behind. Then when in the morning when we were packing up to leave a group of young men wanted to get into our campsite at 9 or 10 AM. They asked us when we were going to leave and we said 12 noon. I shared with them that check in time is 2 PM. Also when we arrived there was like these campers way on the top campsite. As soon as we got there a rough looking young lady came and asked us if we had a cold drink and a smoke?
Then the next day a rough looking man came asked me if I had any water? I gave him a gallon I bought at the store but told him the blue water spigot is drinkable water. They said they were out of everything because the person who was supposed to pick them up had not come. So overall it was a beautiful CG but needs a little more ranger supervision with the Asian and rough looking people.

It was a nice stay even with the rain.
Fire wood is a must to stay warm, cook food and relax.
It’s nice to be able to shower while out in nature.

Reasonable
Bathrooms with working shower which was good
Bathroom sinks need urgent replacing, very rusty and unsightly.
Driveway could use repaving
Great setting overall

We stayed at campsite 8 & 9. Sites are nice and have shade. Site 9 is closest to the road and you hear and see the cars however it was not a bother for us. The campsite have nice shade and you have a nice view of the lake. It was an inconvenience to have the restrooms closed.

Trimmer Campground is a calm and peaceful place with a beautiful view. AT&T service works well here, which is a big plus. It’s not the best spot for hiking or biking since there aren’t many trails, but it’s great for boating and fishing. If you’re looking for a quiet place to relax by the water, this is a good choice.
