What Guests Are Saying

Trimmer Campground offers a beautiful, peaceful setting with lovely views of the lake and good AT&T service, making it a nice spot for relaxation, boating, and fishing. Many reviews highlighted the shaded campsites and overall cleanliness, though there are concerns about bathroom maintenance and the campground's isolation. While some visitors faced issues with restroom availability and cleanliness, others enjoyed their stays and appreciated the quiet atmosphere.

Love love loved our trip! Lake is low- took advantage of that and filled a trash bag every day with old broken glass bottles and other trash. Hopefully the water levels will come up this winter.

We had the entire campsite to ourselves. Secluded, quiet, lovely, clean. Park Ranger visited us and made us feel welcomed. Lake low due to ongoing draught but still very lovely. Serenaded by coyotes and one visited us but stayed about 300 yds away. Absolutely wonderful visit.

Great view of the water from the tent at pretty much every site. Cell service is limited and the closest stores with essentials are 20-30 min drive one way.

The campground was completely empty. The lake was nearly entirely gone. Restrooms haven’t been used in ages. We were all disgusted. Don’t recommend!

We are a family of 6 plus our 3 furry family members (2 dogs and 1 cat). We took a break out of Clovis and spent 2 nights here. Rented campground #2 (corner location) and had the best view in my opinion. Camping is something we don’t do often but we did here since it had a full bathroom and shower which is also very close to the campgrounds. We will certainly come back again.

Obviously with the lake near 10% of capacity, the trimmer boat launch was closed. What we did not expect was the facilities were no longer being cleaned or maintained.

The campground is much smaller than it looked in the pictures. We were in site 9, and I was glad we didn't have any next-door neighbor, because we would have been right next to them (although uphill and thus above them). The tent pad was nice, and worked well. The site was pretty small, but did the job just fine. I had reservations, which was good because there's no way to register on site apart from making a same-day reservation online (or possibly through phone; I don't remember). The bathrooms had running water and there was a shower available (although I didn't use it). However, they weren't the cleanest; a fair number of bugs and such in the urinal drains.

The campsite looked like the photos posted. The restroom was very clean and well lit. The Ranger came by to give us our car tag. She was very friendly and welcoming. She reminded us to stay aware about rattlesnake dangers.
