Peaceful clean and relaxing. I went there Spontaneously and it was great choice. I’m definitely heading back there whenever I’m in Fresno.
I recommend it!!

The Internet description and photo of our reserved site was completely deceptive. We were parked in a pull-out just off the road. (really in the road) This was NOT what I was led to believe when I made the reservation.

Rangers are so personable and the campground is one of the cleanest I've been to!

Absolutely beautiful campground, the views were all amazing. Each campsite had a unique viewpoint. We stayed in 33 and it was a beautiful Mountain View. $20 for non-electric and 30 for electric sites.

The view from space 9 was gorgeous. walked through the campground and saw a lot of nice view sites. hiked the edison trail nearby and shopped at the little market down the road.
We will be back

Not enough information to make a reservation. I lose money on the first reservation because there was not enough information for me, and by the time I realize I didn’t have time to cancel it. It was a day after.

Worse experience ever. It was 97 degrees outside when the power went off on July 2 & 3 in the late afternoon. Power did not come back on until the next morning due to down power line. I had to contact PG&E directly to find out what was going on since the Pine Flat headquarters phone was off-line & there were no rangers present. Rangers were short staff, but available during the day at the campground throughout the holiday weekend, but too busy to talk except for a few minutes, if you can catch them. On July 4, at 7pm, sherrif sirens start going off followed by boat horns later throughout the campground. I thought the sherrif was chasing someone & then thought their was a violent protest. I later discovered it was a parade of people in golf carts from the RV Park lead by a ranger. With everything going on politically, this was in bad taste. Restrooms were closed unexpectively again on July 5, so at 12 midnight, 12 people in groups of 2 to 3 entered my campsite to access the vault toilet, some hung out at my campsite trying to look through my windows, others from the gate shinned a flashlight on my camper. Not knowing what was going on, I called the sherrif who couldn't get in due to the closed gates, but patrolled the boat ramp. The main rangers' office phone still does not work. My Weboost provides consistent phone connection. Campers can't reach the rangers on the phone to ask questions or report problems. The lack of communication from USACE staff during camp problems only amplifies the situation. I have enjoyed camping at Pine Flat for four years & it is a beautiful campground. But I won't be back due to lack of camphosts, ranger shortage, many facility problems, no visible contract-sherrif on duty, lack of communication, & ongoing camp safety issues that continue to get worse, ie, my outside camping equipment was stolen during my last two prior visits. This campground is so poorly managed, it needs to be shut down until all the problems are resolved.
