Scenic level site. Both campground hosts are so nice and helpful. They both know about all the campsites. Would definitely stay at Lake Success again.

This place has incredible potential. Being here in the spring, it was breathtaking with green grass, snow on the mountain tops and on a reservoir. But there are a couple of problems. First, we reserved a site with electric and water, but when we arrived, we were told the water spigot was 150 ft away. Seriously? Fortunately, the camp host helped us find a spot with water at least within 50 ft. Next, most of the sites - on the north side of the campground - were not level. So our 43ft motorhome was difficult to level. Neighbors in larger class A vehicles, had their front wheels off the ground. Next, the dump station was not working and there was no plan on when it would. It had been unavailable for the previous 2 weeks and still no idea. Lastly, this complaint is about the campers. Easter weekend was the weekend prior to our arrival and our campsite was trashed with broken egg shells, confetti, mylar and so on. This was also in other sites nearby. On the weekends, get ready for parties that get loud after dark, even though quiet hours are after 8pm. We are full time RVers, and this last point is nationwide, especially since Covid. The problem is dog owners. Very few people pick up after their dogs and this park is no exception. The lack of personal responsibility and etiquette seems to be leaving the camping world quickly. One last point - there is a gravel pit just to the east (nearly on the same property) and when they load trucks, it is loud and usually early. Would we return? Probably not which is a pity given the location, view and cost. Sequoia National Park is only an hour north and Sequoia National Forest is just up the road. Out of all the Army Corps of Engineer locations we've stayed, this is the poorest managed.

Showers were closed, rest rooms closed, Dump station also not in service. This has been an on going problem for around a year. What does the maintenance department do. This problem is from a lack of poor management. In the real world heads would roll. Get off your Butts and fix these problems. People pay to camp, fish and picnic here. All we ask is for a clean rest rooms to use , why are we being charged to come here and you provide us Nothing.

Great little spot right next to some beautiful views. Water hook up was interesting as we had to extend our hose >70’ to hook it up. We just filled the fresh water and called it a day. Stayed on the north side which was good for us cause our camper is a long boy(42’) to try to get into that turn area for the south one, we did not even try to take it to the dump station. The only thing I’d remark on truly is the exit; we had to turn left to go right as it’s on a bit of an incline and we have a drop frame in the back. Still would absolutely stay again.

I love Lake Success. My family and I camp every year and it's always been a great experience. We've rented house boats and cruise around the lake. Summertime is always fun with jet skis! You're so close to the mountains which offer great day trips to play in the snow (without road closures) or hit up winning holes in the Tule River.
Big tip: Remember to bring toilet paper and hand-soap for restrooms. Toilets also back up often which can be frustrating. We've seen more and more port a potties instead of actual restroom fixes, this is really the only negative thing I can say.

Showed up to repairs being done on water lines, bathrooms unavailable, no hot water, fresh water hook ups shut off without warning intermittently, hosts basically saying it is what it is; I have no information available I'm not doing the work myself, 4th or 5th time staying and always hearing drunk and disorderly people yelling, vagrants going through dumpsters and walking the camp ground
Don't plan on returning, was final stay

This is a beautiful ACE park. Enjoyed my stay there. The sites were far apart and easy to get in to.

It was absolutely perfect, except….
There were apparently water and restroom issues, so no use of restrooms or showers and water seemed dirty….
