Staff were super friendly and helpful. Campground was clean and facilities were clean. It is one hour to the gate of Sequoia National Park, but the south entrance is very windy and slow going. Be prepared.

Site was great, but the people in the site closest to us were allowed to set up a trailer, 3 tents, 5 canopies, and an inflatable movie screen. There were probably a dozen people staying in that one site and their tents were so close to our site we couldn't enjoy our fire pit or eating outdoors. At night the movie they played was very loud and even inside our own camper, it was very annoying.
The showers were not very clean and 2 of them didn't have working lights. This is the first time we've been disappointed in a COE park.

it was nice the only bad thing about it was the trees hanging to low and a lot of pincher bugs

Finding the campsite was not easy, it was not made clear of the multiple entrances to the park. We could not find a dump site, the web site said there was one. The shower heads need attention, they sprayed very widely wasting water while trying to get it where it was needed.
We call them Goat Head thorns, they were very abundant making walking painful for pets and humans alike.
The sunset was beautiful, loved the solitude and views!

This was a relatively peaceful campground. The sites are spacious and located far enough away from other sites. The picnic benches have shades on top of them which was nice during the daytime. The only issue was that the sites closer to the highway(ours) have to deal with the noise from the vehicles and their lights. If there was more vegetation or trees blocking the view and noise of the highway from the campground, it would be perfect. The newer bathrooms were nice, however, we ended up closer to an old bathroom that wasn't maintained. It did not have doors on the toilet stalls and the shower area was dirty.
But overall, would definitely recommend it to others and would stay there again myself.

Loved this campground! The campsites are spaced out so well, I’ve never had so much space at a campground. The lake views were gorgeous. My son loved the 2 playgrounds.
Overall we absolutely loved it.
Staff we encountered were friendly.
The not so great: the showers were nasty. Full of black widows, cockroaches, and countless other bugs. Plus they needed a really good scrubbing. We don’t usually use campground showers but with no sewer hookups, we decided to try them out and it was awful. Having sewer hookups would be really nice because my husband was not happy about making several trips to the dump station pulling the honey bucket.
People drive super fast through the campground and day use area so be careful if you have kids and/or pets.
We were there in late winter (March) and there were horrible thorns everywhere that punctured right through our shoes with every step, so we had to wear heavy duty hiking shoes every time we went outside, which was not ideal in the warm sunny weather.
For us, we would go back for just a few nights so we didn’t have to walk back and forth to the sewer dump. If you have a small easy to maneuver and set-up/tear down rig it would be easier, but with a 43 ft fifth wheel, we aren’t going to move it just to go to the dump station.
Bathrooms didn’t have soap, so make sure you carry hand soap with you.
