A very convenient campground to Interstate 5 but very quiet and peaceful (at least it was in November!). Great trails for walking/running nearby

We stopped here on the way to Washington from Southern California. This is a gem of a park! It is peaceful yet close to I5, and our site had a picnic table, fire pit, BBQ, water and electricity. We saw deer grazing when we arrived, and lots of birds. The park has a lovely paved walking trail, which would be especially wonderful for a visitor with compromised mobility. Plus, it is dog friendly!

Nice campground under the sycamores along the river. Flat sites, friendly camp hosts. Bring a couple of quarters for the showers and read your confirmation email for the restroom lock code!

It was a joy to stay in such a well managed campground. Itβs so easy for these places to fall into disrepair but everything about this place was just excellent. The hosts were friendly and welcoming, the grounds well kept, the bathroom was spotless. We also walked up and around the gardens and the interpretive center, another stellar experience. The people there were welcoming and generous with their time. We will stay there again.
