What Guests Are Saying
Sycamore Grove Campground offers a beautiful, well-maintained setting with green grass, spacious sites, and clean bathrooms, including coin-operated showers. Many guests appreciate the peaceful atmosphere and friendly camp hosts, making it a great stop for travelers. However, some concerns were raised about noisy campers, the condition of pit toilets, and occasional issues with camp host interactions. Overall, it's considered a lovely place to relax and enjoy nature, especially for short stays.

Beautiful area peppered with oak trees near the Sacramento river. Quiet and peaceful. The only negative would be to fix women's restroom lock. It is broken.

This park was clean, the power and water connections worked fine, and the parking surface was in good condition. It's set in an area with some magnificent trees, which quite a few birders came to watch the migratory birds that came through when I was there. Not all the spaces are long enough for a lengthy RV, and some are close to a tree or has a tree at the back of the parking space to watch out for. My first spot was space 23 which accommodated my 5th wheel just fine and was in a pretty good location. I had to cancel my second spot (11) because a tree wouldn't allow me to back all the way in. I got charged a fee to cancel, which seemed unfair since there was no warning that the space was too small before I reserved it. I advise to do a recon trip to look at the spaces before you go. It's not too far from Interstate 5 so you may hear some highway noise although it's a distant noise it is audible. This is a great money saver if you're traveling up or down the 5 and need a spot for the night for your RV. I found it to be safe and comfortable. There's good trails and areas to walk your dog too. I wouldn't camp here for a vacation, I'd find a much better place for that, but it's right on the river and ain't too bad for a quick weekend or overnighter. A Ranger patrols through daily, and the park is gated and has an entry code, which keeps people out that shouldn't be there overnight. There are some day use folks that come and picnic, hike, and fish.

It is a nice place that is convenient to Interstate 5. The amenities are minimal and some of the visitors are a bit noisy but worth the $16/night I spend there on my every other month trip down to the Bay Area.
