What a great place! We travel between Portland and Sacramento a lot, and have to stop somewhere in the middle with our travel trailer.
We've camped in Roseburg, Gold Hill, Ashland, and Redding before, but we've added Red Bluff to our list. The camp hosts were very helpful.
Sycamore Grove is flat, pretty quiet, somewhat spread out, and has lots of trees. We were in a bit of a hurry on this trip, so we didn't get to hike or bike the many trails we saw. There was lots of space in the middle of the campground to walk our dogs.
We stayed there twice in November, and really appreciated the heated (through the floor, I think) restrooms. However, they were always out of towels.
There is no trailer dump station, but there are several in town, including a free one at the Tehama County Fairgrounds, when it's open.
