Sycamore Grove Campground offers a beautiful, well-maintained setting with green grass, spacious sites, and clean bathrooms, including coin-operated showers. Many guests appreciate the peaceful atmosphere and friendly camp hosts, making it a great stop for travelers. However, some concerns were raised about noisy campers, the condition of pit toilets, and occasional issues with camp host interactions. Overall, it's considered a lovely place to relax and enjoy nature, especially for short stays.

Sycamore grove campsites. has lots of trees that are really nice. There is a flower garden that is well maintained. It’s pleasant to walk around the park. The Sacramento river is an added attraction with lots of birds, for those birders out there, bring your binoculars. There is a flashing toilet and cold shower which are fairly kept clean. The fees are affordable.

great site: quiet with a nice bike/walking trail through expansive fields (and along the Sacramento River) with old oak trees. Good spacing between sites. Only problem was that there was no hot water for sinks or showers. According to the host, this was because the propane tanks were empty - no one arranged for additional propane. The web page for this campground should clearly indicate that there is no hot water, or else remove the statement that there are showers.

Beautiful site for camping. Wish the sites were by the overflow area. That area gets the sounds of the river. did not use the showers, though I heard the water was cold.

Well kept campground. Only a couple miles from I-5 so very convenient while travelling. Large tree canopy; open at ground level. I did not observe the problem with homeless people mentioned in other reviews. About the only problem encountered was that the restroom/shower access code changed over night. Not really a big problem as the host was there with new code, but it was an annoyance. We had a very nice stay.

Lovely campground with the unexpected bonus of electric and water and pull through sites. The only not great was the terrible condition of the restrooms and no hot water for showers.
I'll totally go back if I am in the area. The host is a sweet man with a super sweet little dog. I enjoyed talking with him.

Campsite seemed clean and well maintained. I arrived late at night and left early. Electronic gate code for vehicles was in my reservation notes, but the bathroom code was not. Would be helpful if it could be added to it in the future

This little campground was a perfect stopover on our road trip to San Francisco. It was a quiet green oasis even though it’s relatively close to I-5.
Our only issue was getting the code to unlock the restroom. We arrived after dark and did now how to find it. A friendly neighboring camper helped us out. We didn’t use them, but there are hot showers on site for a fee. Plus the federal Senior Pass discount (yay!) We’ll be back.

It would have helped to be greeted by the campground host. Many people were camped in others places.
