What Guests Are Saying
Sycamore Grove Campground offers a beautiful, well-maintained setting with green grass, spacious sites, and clean bathrooms, including coin-operated showers. Many guests appreciate the peaceful atmosphere and friendly camp hosts, making it a great stop for travelers. However, some concerns were raised about noisy campers, the condition of pit toilets, and occasional issues with camp host interactions. Overall, it's considered a lovely place to relax and enjoy nature, especially for short stays.

The location is close to town and services but the only people around were the campers.

Beautiful spot! We loved hiking the trails in the area. The oak trees are epic.

The CG looks like a city park that someone built campsites in. Lots of green grass. Road is narrow and one way and because we had a pull-thru on the left our door was facing into the road instead of the site. There was a young tree in our site with branches overhanging the site making it difficult to get in. There are also lots of low hanging branches over the road. Even at 13ft high we were scraping some of them. There was a camp host and they were nice. Maintenance is lacking here. And what maintenance is done is half-baked. (I wanted to use another word here!) And work done is not to code. Restroom was mostly clean, but no one cleans above 5ft high nor do they properly clean otherwise there would not be hard water stains. You need a code to get into the bathroom. The showers get warm, and take quarters. But there is no sign telling you that it takes quarters or tokens or how many for how long. I got about 4 minutes per quarter. There are tons of hand written (poorly written) signs taped up everywhere. Very unprofessional. The only plus for me was that I did see armed law enforcement rangers patrolling the campground. Made me feel better given the sketchy people coming in. There is a gate that is supposed to lock at night. I even got an email with the gate code. But someone has run over the post so there is no way to unlock the gate and no one looks like they are interested in fixing it.

Very nice and quiet campground. Close to I-5 but very little road noise. Nice walking trails and good restaurants near by.
