Location is remote. Cell reception is low but there are working public payphones close to the bathrooms. Overall the areas are well maintained and clean. The restrooms where outdated but clean. There is a fish cleaning station and a few short trails to walk/explore. While parking is good not all campsites are leveled with the parking spot. Good area to walk around with the dog. Will definitively be back.

This campground is in a beautiful area, but the lack of care and attention to the grounds makes it less than desirable. Someone was parked in my reserved campsite when I arrived after 3pm, it turned out that the occupants parked there because it was convenient for them to go out fishing. I had to wait until they returned before I could get into my site. I couldn’t find a camp host to help with this situation. The bathrooms sinks and toilets were beyond dirty, they were gross. The water spigots located around the campground may or may not work, the ones near my campsite didn’t work.

This site is so easy to use, it also shows pictures of the camp sites. The price can't be beat.......love going to Pine Flat lake

Great spot for a quick getaway! Plenty of drift wood for the fire pit, short jaunt down to the lake, flushing toilets and fish cleaning station. 45 min from Fresno.

Visited early December. Do not many campers. No one working the booth. Out of all the empty sites, someone was in our site. Tried calling and no one answered. We just set up in another empty site. Sites are really closed to one another. But a short walk to the water. Sites have flattened areas for tents.

Beautiful location! This campground has some of the best views of any we’ve stayed in. Site 34 is huge with a panoramic view of the area. The website says it can fit a rig up to 80 feet, but anything longer than 30 feet may be difficult to maneuver in the upper loop. If you can’t make it back with your large rig though, they do have a parking lot overflow that is easy to get into. Our Airstream is 25 feet and backing all the way into sight 34 put us at a 3% grade. It is level able, but you will definitely need chocks and leveling blocks. Bathrooms have flush toilets and showers were pretty gross by campground standards. The place was very peaceful during the week, but got noisy on the weekend and sounded like a club at times. People kind of trashed the bathrooms and my husband found a needle in the bathroom. We would definitely return for the views, but not the poorly designed campground.

One of the most beautiful campgrounds managed by USACE. Camphost volunteer on site through the winter is a big plus.
