What Guests Are Saying
Fremont Campground offers spacious and well-shaded sites with clean facilities and a lovely natural setting near a creek and reservoir, making it ideal for a peaceful getaway. Many visitors praised the helpful and friendly camp host, though some noted strict rules and issues with the camp's management. Overall, despite a few drawbacks like the lack of flushing toilets and occasional rudeness from staff, most guests enjoyed their stay and expressed a desire to return.

Quiet campground with large camping spots, solid tables and big deep fire rings that contain fire well and radiate heat through thick steel ring. Restroom out of service, with 4 well-maintained port-a-potties and soap by the water source. The CG drawing with site locations used for reservations is no good, the numbers were dropped on there randomly. 5,6,8 are on the outside of the road, 7 is first inside spot. 1,2,3 are near Paradise Rd. Good CG host.

The campground was nice. The lady was very nice and helpful. It’s hard to find the place for some reason the gps took us to another campground and we were lost for one hour.

Campsites are very spacious and big. You always see wild turkeys. Crows never disappoint you: will wake you up at 6 am or earlier.
Good hikes around the area. Since we had a lot of rain this season, there are so many wild flowers. Loved it.

Lovely campground. Flush toilets were closed but the porta potty's weren't bad. Not much to do in area without driving somewhere. While the river is not far access is limited. Otherwise a nice stop off point on our trip north.

We enjoyed our 2 night stay at Fremont and used it as a base camp to access Channel Islands National Park and Santa Barbara. The surrounding area is beautiful and the campground is small and quiet. The sites are spaced out more than other campground, however there are not many trees to offer privacy. Each site has a water faucet, fire ring, and picnic table. All the sites do seem to have a slight slope as the campground is on a hill but site 15 had less of one. The biggest downside was the lack of access to bathrooms. As of 6/15/23 they were still closed and we only had porta pottys. No sinks or showers.

Small campground but very nice. The sites are nicely spaced apart. There are a lot of mature trees and the camp host was very professional and attentive.

We really enjoyed the lush greenery something that nobody had control over was the weather I would have liked it a little warmer. Considering there's a lot of high grass and holes made due to all the rain runoff I believe they should cut it down as I was twisted my ankle three to four times and going to the restroom in the middle of the night when it's dark or walking around campground it's dark is dangerous
