We had a wonderful stay at the Paradise campground. There is plenty of hiking & biking near the campsite or a short ride (less than 5 miles). The campground is small (about 12 or so sites) and very quiet. You do hear some early morning traffic from the road, but it's not a big problem. The camp hosts kept the bathrooms and grounds immaculate during our 1 week stay. The only issue we had with the Los Padres Forest was the confusing "use fee" areas. We had not encountered this fee structure before and it was a bit of a nuisance until we figured out that there are many off the road areas to park free of charge. There is no internet (AT&T at the campground but there was a turnout 1 mile (back towards route 154) from our site that gave us 3 bar 5G coverage.

The place is quaint, and we absolutely loved our stay there. It was a little cold for tent camping in January, but that's just a perfect excuse to cuddle! Also, the bathrooms were clean!

Nice campground with flush toilets. Lots of beautiful Oak trees and plenty of nearby hiking trails.

Beautiful. In December, it was quite cold so recommend an RV or warmer temperature rather than tent camping. It is nice that there is water nearby which most campgrounds have none. It is an open area so it is hard to have privacy but got to know my neighbors by being so close which often I do not get that opportunity. The downside is that it is near a street although it is in a national park so traffic is light but still more traffic than usual campgrounds. Verizon WIFI worked while AT&T did not.
