When we arrived there were some campers/tents that looked like had been there for a long time, run down almost. But as the stay went on it was fine. It’s just a very remote spot but I appreciated being able to see the stars.

The address in the gps is not accurate. The campsite is further down the road and off to the right.

If you would like an afternoon get away, it is a neat experience to go to the city of Solvang for a day trip.

Myself and two other friends stayed at this campsite in Mid-August not really knowing what to expect. We are from the Bay Area and were looking forward to some summer heat and gorge swimming. What we arrived too was an empty dry lot with only one to two other campers staying on it. We immediately had a bad feeling, but tried our best to go into it with good spirits. Eventually we came to realized that all the nearby creeks were dry and the nearest gorge with water in it was miles and miles away. To make matters worse we had numerous creepy and unsettling experiences on our site being one of the only two group of campers residing there. As a group of three girls we were freaked out and felt unsafe which resulted in us packing our things after one night and leaving early. Its very possible that we just picked a horrible time of year to camp at this location, but everything about this place gave us a weird vibe. I didn't mind the mountainous hot area, but the fact that there was little to no one camping nearby made it an uncomfortable site for college girls to stay at in the summer.

There are plenty of trees and the sites are pretty large. The campground host here does an excellent job of keeping the facilities clean. Location is great for heading into Los Olivos or Solvang for the day.
