What Guests Are Saying
Dinkey Creek offers a beautiful natural setting with excellent hiking opportunities and friendly camp hosts who provide helpful service. The campground is well-maintained, and many visitors appreciate the spacious campsites and clean facilities. However, issues such as the lack of functioning flush toilets and potable water have caused some inconveniences, alongside noise from generators and nearby campers. Overall, many families enjoy returning to this campground for its charm and the memorable experiences it provides.

We loved Dinkey Creek! The campsite is beautiful, the staff friendly and professional, and the facilities clean and well stocked. Thank you for helping us make wonderful memories!

I am very upset that for the 3rd year in a row the bathrooms next to site #25 are out of order. This is unacceptable! Why have they not been fixed? This is very disappointing when you have to walk farther from your site to use the restroom. I think we should get a refund!

Adjacent to vault toilets, three dumpsters and water faucet for general use. Having the vault toilets so close makes cooking very unpleasant, and with water faucet so close makes it that you are never without privacy. Sun is brutal as it sets right on top of the site so bring a canopy for shade. Will not recommend camp site 35E.

The general store was perfect for daily ice runs and an occasional ice cream float! Definitely hike down to the ‘creek’. The scenery is simply beautiful. The only con about the campground is the showers weren’t clean, but that could be because we used them near closing. Having flush toilets near our campsites was awesome! It would have been nice to have running water in the bathroom sinks. If you need to check in at home, head to Shaver Lake. They have plenty or stores and restaurants, and you can rent boats if you want to venture out on the water.

Too big of a campground for my liking, but in a good location.

26 C is a great site. Lots of space and privacy unlike some other sites. The restrooms were clean. Hosts were nice. One hike with no name starts from the campsite.

This is a nice campground, but the sites are not next to the creek.

We had tents & sleeping bags, 30degree rated. It was extremely cold at night. But if you stayed in your sleeping bag, you were comfortable. Site was great and there was lots of room for the kids to run around. My parents were on site 75 & I stayed on site 76. We try to get sites next to each other. Dinkey Creek Campgrounds have been our favorite grounds to visit. This was our second year attending and will probably be our to go location year after year.

Have been camping at Dinkey since 1977. I'm surprised that the steps going down to Honeymoon Pool still have not been repaired. I suppose it will take someone falling and breaking a leg before this is taken care of. With what is charged per night for camping with no hookups, it seems there would be plenty of money to fix the steps.

Another great trip to Dinkey Creek, one of our favorite places to camp. The hosts were super nice and the bathrooms were clean. The water flow in the creek was raging and nothing like we've experienced in past visits. It will probably be weeks if not months before it's safe to swim in. There is a small spot where Rock Creek hits Dinkey Creek that had calm water where kids were playing.
