What Guests Are Saying
Dinkey Creek offers a beautiful natural setting with excellent hiking opportunities and friendly camp hosts who provide helpful service. The campground is well-maintained, and many visitors appreciate the spacious campsites and clean facilities. However, issues such as the lack of functioning flush toilets and potable water have caused some inconveniences, alongside noise from generators and nearby campers. Overall, many families enjoy returning to this campground for its charm and the memorable experiences it provides.

I love Dinkey Creek campgrounds, we found out about it after camping at Yosemite for many years- during the fires a few years back our reservation was canceled and we got last minute site at Dinkey and we've returned every year since! We don't even bother woth Yosemite anymore. The sites are clean and well kept, bathrooms are clean/uncrowded, camp hosts are always friendly and the river is a short walk/hike away. It's very family and dog friendly and we look forward to staying every year.

Dinkey Creek is our family’s go to place where we all get sites next to each other and enjoy the creek below, campfire’s, hikes and each other’s company. Creek was lower than usual but still had a great time!

We had a great camp site where we could walk to the creek. There isn’t any cellular service so just prepare for that aspect.

We were told that we had to keep the music down and that it could only be heard within our campfire. And this was in the daytime and I thought quite time started at 10 pm. My group is considering maybe go camping somewhere else.

The sites in our loop were spacious and private. The campground hosts did a fine job. Dinkey Creek is a great place to visit.

Dinkey Creek is an annual outing for me and my grandchildren. The setting is lovely. The campsites are convenient and user friendly. The amenities (bathrooms, water, garbage disposal) are nearby and work. There are lots of activities in and about the area including the Pine Logging Camp Restoration Project, the giant redwoods of McKinley Grove, the WPA bridge, horseback riding, fishing, and, of course, swimming in Dinkey Creek. You can't go wrong here if you want a simple, pull in and camp experience.
