What Guests Are Saying
Dinkey Creek offers a beautiful natural setting with excellent hiking opportunities and friendly camp hosts who provide helpful service. The campground is well-maintained, and many visitors appreciate the spacious campsites and clean facilities. However, issues such as the lack of functioning flush toilets and potable water have caused some inconveniences, alongside noise from generators and nearby campers. Overall, many families enjoy returning to this campground for its charm and the memorable experiences it provides.

Annual trip was great. Plenty to do and total relaxation. Need to change quiet time back from 10:00 PM to 7:00 AM.

Beautiful as always! Staff was very Friendly and the Camp Hosts went out of there way to help us and keep us informed of things happening around us! I've been coming for 50 years now and will continue to vacation here for as long as I am able to!

The setting is sublime. Always love most the McKinley grove but it is all great. Have not been here in three years and noticed how many trees have been cut down, no doubt due to the infestation/disease that had been increasing alongside the creek

Melanie, a camp host went through a very elaborate scheme to convince us that our Senior pass was not good at the campground. Acted like she made a phone call to to someone to confirm. Showed us pictures of proper passes. Took 20+ min to go through the process. I just bought this 6 months ago. She said no, cost us $100+ in additional cost.
When we extended our stay, she was back hosting, the new reception desk person, very nice, booked the stay with the 50% senior pass in 2 minutes. Too late to get paid back. Was told how we could have booked on line to avoid the problem. We should not have to. Provide adequate training for people to operate the gate. Other point, is there were three people in the kiosk the second time. One appeared to be a female supervisor. She seemed to be mocking us as we had the discussion about our experience with Melanie.
Also, drinking water is an issue at this facility. People did not know if it was safe. Three days later they said it was ok.
reconsider the groups that run and oversee this facility. Won't be back.

If you’re looking for a place or your kids can run free, make noise, laugh, run, and enjoy themselves this is not the place. This time around we couldn’t play music not even low.
We have been coming to Dinkey Creek for the past six years our last five years were memorable, we played music, played games, laughed, hiked, went in the creek and enjoyed ourselves. This year we don’t know what changed, management? Grounds keepers?
From the moment we arrived we were targeted.
The Grounds keeper was rude, shoved papers in my 17 year olds face. Yelled at my husband when my husband wasn’t even at the camp site while we were playing music. He Kept making rounds and found any little thing to complain. Honestly this all started when we played Mexican music.
So if you have kids, want to play music during non quiet time hours, laugh, run, and play, this is not the place to camp at.
Rude, racist, no customer service!
