What Guests Are Saying
Dinkey Creek offers a beautiful natural setting with excellent hiking opportunities and friendly camp hosts who provide helpful service. The campground is well-maintained, and many visitors appreciate the spacious campsites and clean facilities. However, issues such as the lack of functioning flush toilets and potable water have caused some inconveniences, alongside noise from generators and nearby campers. Overall, many families enjoy returning to this campground for its charm and the memorable experiences it provides.

Diinkey was very enjoyable as it always has been. Reservations are easy to book and the campgrounds/ site are well maintained. The downside this trip was the smoke from the fires was so sense that it was very unhealthy to be outside. Fortunately the smoke cleared considerably on the second day.

Nice location near the creek. Surprised by the lack of bear boxes, but they may not be a big problem there. Quiet and less than half full at the end of September.

One of my favorite campgrounds ever! It had just reopened after a state closure due to wildfires, so it is probably more busy normally, but this time there was hardly anyone there. Loved the creek and swimming holes! Fyi, there is no easy access down to the creek areas, it all involves scrambling slippery granite rocks. The campground host was super nice. The bathrooms were clean. Of course it may just have been because the campground was so empty, but everything was very well taken care of and tidy. There are quite a few trees cut down due to beetle bark, which is good in a way since there it's lots of free wood around for your campfire. But there are also a lot of campsites that aren't as pretty because they mostly have cut down trees. Our site was great, lots of trees. We did have a problem with yellow jackets and whenever we were cooking. They didn't sting anyone, but are annoying. No mosquitos, which is great!! I pointed out a lot of negatives to be helpful, but really I loved this campground and our whole trip, and am definitely coming back!
