What Guests Are Saying
Dinkey Creek offers a beautiful natural setting with excellent hiking opportunities and friendly camp hosts who provide helpful service. The campground is well-maintained, and many visitors appreciate the spacious campsites and clean facilities. However, issues such as the lack of functioning flush toilets and potable water have caused some inconveniences, alongside noise from generators and nearby campers. Overall, many families enjoy returning to this campground for its charm and the memorable experiences it provides.

We loved our time at Dinkey Creek!! The staff especially were so kind and prompt when it came to cleaning the bathrooms and checking in on the guests! I wish the campgrounds weren’t so close together, but that didn’t even make a difference to us. Our trip was fantastic!

I understand the situation with the water availability but when you shut down the flush toilets and supplement them with port-a-potties ya need to do a better job servicing them. They should have been serviced before the weekend crowd arrived, thus the reason we left early. The people working there were not the problem at all!

Campsite was beautiful; lots of spots to swim, even when the water was low, although it is quite cold. The campground was almost completely empty when we went at the end of August; the niceness of the camp sites is very dependent on the site number, some are incredible and very private and huge and some are tiny and very close to the roads/bathroom so definitely check the maps before choosing a site. Yellowjackets are prominent so bring repellent for when you’re gonna be cooking during the daytime and make sure to keep your trash and food in the car because bears are definitely around. The camp store has ice and wood for sale and at a reasonable price and they let you forage for wood aswell which was great because there were a lot of chopped down trees around.

Beautiful location and well kept campsites. I prefer smaller, more secluded campgrounds, but that is not to say anything bad about this campground. The woman who worked at the front entrance was nice and informative.

The surroundings of this campground are beautiful, the creek is really pretty and there are plenty of big boulders to climb up and explore. However - the campsites are close together with no privacy. There was also an insane amount of yellow jackets that made our stay really annoying. There are a lot of bathrooms placed throughout the grounds but when we were there they were closed and replaced with outhouses. This campsite would have been a lot more relaxing if the sites were spaced out more. There is a small market and showers at the entrance of the campground.
