Camp Richardson's Badgers Den offers a beautiful location with convenient access to the beach, restaurants, and activities, making it a cherished spot for many visitors. Most reviewers highlighted the cleanliness of the campgrounds and the friendliness of the staff, with some enjoying amenities like the ice cream shop and bike rentals. I grew up in Lake Tahoe so Camp Richardson has always been a cherished spot for me so I was looking very forward to this trip. I was disappointed when we arrived at our campsite at the amount of garbage that was left behind from the previous tenants. I picked up several bags of garbage- bottle caps, socks, q-tips, etc. I know the rangers are spread thin and cannot manage all of that with the amount of people that come and go every week but I think there should at least be a fine for people that trash the lake. I was also surprised at people's lack of courtesy at the campground, walking right through our campsite without any care and one person even parked in our designated spots for a while to use the bathroom without even saying anything. It's an amazing location with great proximity to the Lake, but sadly it was not the experience I had hoped for.

Very spacious there are 10 of us camping plus our tents and our camping equipment and we still have a lot of room for the kids to play on our campsite and not on the pavement. We had the morning Son and evening shade so it was perfect for us.

Will be staying at Badgers Den again as soon as we can. Ozzy the security guard was the absolute highlight of our stay. Such a great man and the information he shared definitely added to our stay. The bathrooms were well maintained and the staff was very accommodating and kind. They worked diligently to help resolve issues and they always greeted us warmly. Everything was well maintained and it felt like coming home for us. We hated leaving. Even with all the bear activity, our young kids felt safe and enjoyed their first tent camping experience immensely. My husband has been camping at Camp Richardson his whole life and now my children are excited to join the tradition!! Can’t wait to come back!! See you soon Fuzzy and Ozzy!!!

I was shaken down for having another car at the site for $20 per vehicle per night. It is very racial because the other groups with 4-5+ cars clearly didn't have paper slips on their vehicles. Do not go July 4th. We had the worst neighbors blasting music and slamming the dumpster doors past 2am. I used to love coming to Lake Tahoe as a kid but now I see it has become Scam City.

We have been camping here for 4 years and everything has been perfect except the quality of bathroom cleaning and servicing has decreased significantly. By 4pm there is no toilet paper, the garbages are overflowing and the bathroom is filthy. It continues into the morning, still no toilet paper or seat covers and filthy. They NEED to be cleaned more often, like 6am and 4pm. Filthy!

There was a group of college students talking and playing music after 2 am my husband told them to be quiet and still keep going. There was no surveillance regarding the 10 pm quiet time
