Normally my favorite place to camp. I brought my 3 year old daughter and my 5 year old son out for a couple nights. First night we didn’t have a fire just saved the wood for the next night. We finally start a fire at 6:00pm for s’mores that my kids have been excited about for weeks. All the sudden without warning Fred throws water on our campfire. I told him he has no permission to be here and I didn’t give him permission to do that at which point he accused me of threatening him and called the sheriff. I have all this on video. The sheriff actually came and I had to spend time talking to them instead of spending it with my family. Fred should be fired. He has no business being around people and acting like that around children. It traumatized my kids they were crying and they keep talking about the incident. Asking why that bad man did that?!

If you disconnect your tow vehicle prior to entering because of the dangerous road leading to campground. They will charge you an additional $9.00 per day. if you tell them that you just disconnected they will call you a lair. Then they showed up at our campsite everyday to check our additional parking pass to see if we had paid for that day. They have a couple of workers that treated us very badly after the first encounter. The vehicle not being attached is a very bad policy as it created a very unpleasant camping experience for us and our grandchildren witnessing workers calling us lairs.

I loved this campground so much. We stayed on site 043 on June 25 and 26 only for 2 nights because that's what was available, and I see why. Our site was perfect, right in the middle of the campground. I felt more comfortable and safer because we were staying in a tent. We got to see a bear on the second night and in the morning before leaving we saw another bear; it was an amazing experience for me and my family. There's a lake really close the "Fallen leaf lake", so beautiful, and the staff was really nice and helpful since we got there. We would love to come back there in the future!

Site 20 has a significant slant making it difficult to level; surprised it is not tent only site. There was a divet /hole beside the picnic table waiting to sprain an ankle as well as numerous random rocks we had to collect to avoid the same fate. Table gives booty splinters any time you pivot. Tree doesn’t allow for awning to retract more than a few feet. Site was terribly full of mosquitoes (yes, I know. Nature.) but to the point where we couldn’t be outside to enjoy a campfire during the entire day, so come prepared. Site was in need of a good raking. A bear visit almost every night. No damage, no issues- just sharing for awareness.

Loved this spot, spacious, clean, bear box. Gorgeous campground -- photos don't do it justice. Bathrooms close by and well-maintained/clean. Water spigots just a short walk from the space.

Gorgeous campground, photos don't do it justice. This campsite space was terrible. Large slope down from the parking spot, the only flat spot for tent was RIGHT next to the bear box and pretty much amongst the brush. Ended up pitching tent on the opposite side of the car between some trees. Luckily my tent was small so it fit -- anything bigger than a 2-person tent would have to go on the pavement in the driveway.
