What Guests Are Saying

Kaspian Campground offers breathtaking views of Lake Tahoe and a peaceful atmosphere, making it an incredible camping experience. The well-maintained site features clean facilities, easy access to hiking trails, and a spacious layout. However, campers should be prepared for limited visibility at night, bear activity, and some challenges with carrying supplies due to the campsite's elevation.

Great location, across the street from the lake. Easy to get to town for a last minute grocery store stop but out of town a bit, near the lake and surrounded by trails. The campground has access to a pier over the water and it was great for laying in the sun and swimming. There are also several trails nearby for a hike or mountain bike ride along the lake or river.

A couple things to take note of:
1. There is a central parking lot(you can't drive right up to your site). There is a big flight of stairs between the parking lot and campsites 4-9 so you'll be hauling all of your equipment, food and other items up and down the stairs. Not the end of the world, but something worth noting when you choose your site location.
2. There are no fires permitted for the 2020 camping season(here or any other nearby site). This was not communicated to us prior to our trip and we had packed foods that needed to be grilled. Plan accordingly and you should be fine.
3. FYI, there is some traffic noise from the road.

A nice weekend and we would plan another trip here in the future.

Based on the website, I did not realize there were steep stairs from the parking lot to the campsite. This made night time trips to the bathroom very difficult and also carrying loads from the car to the tent site. The site is lovely, but I also did not realize how much traffic would be driving by at night, so it was noisy. It was convenient to walk to the lake.

Excellent Experience.

Great view of the lake, good amount of privacy, not as noisy as I thought even though it is next to the highway.
Close access to dock with amazing views of Lake Tahoe, close to grocery stores and restaurants.
